Our Bayernwald roots: love for nature, passion for development
Bayernwald was founded in 1923, inspired by the abundance of fruit in the Bavarian Forest. Ever since, we have specialised in the processing of fruit.
The company is officially registered. Processing and preservation of native forest fruits, mainly focused on the production of fruit and vegetable preserves as well as fruit wines.
Production of first fruit products for the processing industry begins.
New production and administration buildings are constructed at the current location in Schwanenkirchner Str. in Hengersberg.
A new refrigerated warehouse is built. A 5-stage vacuum concentrate line is acquired. A boiler house is built along with a building for goods receiving and a quality laboratory. 120 kWp solar panels are installed.
The company becomes a KG (limited partnership business) and ownership changes hands within the family. Export markets expand to a share of approx. 70%. Further product lines are developed.
The drinks of the Bavaria Waldfrucht brand become part of the Bayernwald family. Its official name changes to Bayernwald for the future.
2020 until today
Several construction works are initiated: warehouse 2, shipping hall 2 and refrigerated warehouse 3. A 550 kWp photovoltaic system is installed along with 20 e-charging stations.
